| dc.description | The amount of climate finance available for developing countries has increased substantially over the past decade both from concessional and commercial sources. ●However, the system for delivering and accessing such finance has become highly complex with over 100 funding sources, each with its own investment criteria and processes. ●For transforming economies with limited resources and capacity such as Mozambique this complexity poses an enormous challenge and often leads to inertia or worse expended energy and political capital on climate finance dead ends. ●These system complexities and capacity constraints have made it extremely difficult for low-income developing countries to secure finance for their own priority investments. | |
